The Hotel EKTA stands prettily in Rue Galilee in the 16th arrondisement of Paris and is just a stone’s throw away from the Charles de Gaulle station. The 70’s theme designed by Jean-Philippe Nuel and Natasha Stojkovic runs through the black and white dominated hotel. Framed prints, artsy lights and premium linen grace the 25 rooms that are divided into classic, comfort, elegant types along with terraced / non terraced suites.
Rooms have beds, desk with chair and lamp, closet, free Wi Fi and air conditioning while bathrooms have Italian showers and have bathrobes and slippers. There is paid car parking, laundry service, 24×7 help desk, concierge service and the hotel is friendly towards accessibility needs. Hotel Henriette
Truly French at heart with designs created by Vanessa Scoffier; the Henrietta Rive Gauche stands on rue des Gobelins…a quiet street in the 13th arrondisment of Paris. All the 25 rooms are done up differently and cheerful color blocked walls, minimalist furniture and designer lights make the place look like it just stepped out of a fashion magazine.
The Henrietta got featured in the Wallpaper and Vogue and prides itself on being country house chic… one look at its small winter garden and patio and you will be charmed. The rooms have beds, desk-chair with lamps, in-built storage spaces, nuxe toiletries while the bathrooms have shower and/ or tub and hair dryer. A healthy European breakfast is available every morning and a limited in room menu is also available.
Proximity to the Port Royal RER station, Les Gobeliens and Place d’Italie metro stations is a definite advantage as most of Paris can be explored with ease from these points. The interesting Latin Quarter with its cultural pot pourri, quirky shops and restaurants is right nearby. The Mouffetard Street with its markets and interesting heritage is a short stroll away. Restaurants and bars are aplenty in this area and the Henrietta Rive scores excellently in terms of value and convenience. This is a 3-star property available almost at budget tariff… a real hidden gem.

Hotel 34B – Astotel
Truly French at heart with modernistic quirky décor the 34B stands at its namesake address in the 9th androssiment of Paris. Walk around and you can find most of the best attractions of Paris including the Louvre, Musee Grevin, Opera Garnier and some dazzling entertainment options like Plant Hollywood, Pompidou shopping center, La Cigale concert hall.
Metro, bus and rail stations are all fairly nearby and there are ATMs, departmental stores and loads of restaurants/ bars in the neighborhood. Check into one of the 128 rooms and you are immediately insulated from the noisy city; large soundproof windows and the quiet side street on which it’s located ensure peace.
The staff is always generous about refreshing the contents of the free minibar and there is a steady supply of free snacks and soft drinks/ beverages in the lounge. Guests are assigned a card that provides free access to facilities in the other Astotels. The spacious rooms have premium furnishings, cable TV, desk-chair, hair dryer and free Wi Fi too.
Some other facilities are luggage room, concierge service, maid service, mini library in lounge, cots on request, iron and ironing board, dry cleaning service etc. The hotel is accommodating towards guests with reduced mobility and dietary restrictions.

Hotel WO – Wilson Opera
The WO Wilson Opera is located in the 8th arrondissement of Paris and is just a stone’s throw away from the Gare St Lazare station. This makes it near to 5 metro stations too and almost the whole of Paris can be accessed with ease from this location. The compactly built hotel has some rooms that provide an Eiffel view while some have access to balcony/ terrace.
All rooms have Wi-Fi, air conditioning, writing desk and chair, built in closet, complimentary tea/ coffee trays and NUXE toiletry hampers. The staff is multi lingual, warm and friendly and help with maps, tour information, routes, shuttles, restaurant recommendations etc. This hotel is friendly towards guests with reduced mobility. You can get a baby sitter/ masseuse/ laundry service on request.

Hotel Darcet
The hotel Darcet is a boutique 2 star establishment that lies in the 17th Arrondisment of Paris and is just 200 meters away from the Place de Clichy metro station. The Gare du Nord station is just a short bus ride away and Some of the best attractions of Paris including the Moulin rouge, Sacre Couer, Latin Quarter, Montemarte are within walking distance of the hotel.
The hotel is exceptionally neat and clean with friendly staff and offers nice facilities like a communal kitchenette with microwave, stove and fridge and a dining room and patio. A range of tea/ coffee based beverages are offered for free in the dining room. The building is serviced by an elevator and is very neatly maintained.
All rooms have HVAC, Wi Fi, USB Sockets, beds with comfortable bedding, desk and chair and the bathrooms have enclosed glass shower area and hair dryer. There is a 24 hour helpdesk and the staff will help guests with restaurant and bar recommendations and point out easy conveyance routes. Arrange your own breakfast and eat comfortably in the dining room or go exploring the numerous cafes, patisseries and restaurants nearby. Supermarket, Fan prix stores, ATM are all nearby and on account of convenience, cleanliness and value for money; the Darcet achieves a great score.

Don’t be fooled by the simple entrance of Helussi; you can almost miss it as you walk by the hilly junction of Rue de Bellefond and Rue de Chantilly. Once you get inside it’s a different story with spacious, well managed rooms and bathrooms with walk in showers. Beds with premium linen, duvet, and Nespesso machine, mini bar, closets with safe, direct dial phones (you can even call for free) are just some of the amenities.
Revel in the complimentary sauna baths offered by the hotel in their own Sauna. MOB stands in a pleasant looking rue Gambetta Street in one of the less fancy locations of Paris. The St Ouens flea market is next door. The Garibaldi metro station is just 500 meters away and the St Ouens metro and train stations are nearby which gives guests access to most attractions of Paris.
