Le Bristol (5 Star)
An Oeteker group offering; the Le Bristol Paris offers one of the classiest addresses in Paris and guests get the French Presidents Elysee palace as well as the American ambassador’s home as neighbors. Lavishly set up in the Louis XV style; the rooms (even the lowest category) are as big as standard Parisian apartments.
A formal French garden with parterres, silks and precious paintings by the French masters, period furniture, frescoed walls and lavish chandeliers are just some of the ultra-luxurious touches that made Paris christen Le Bristol as a ‘Palace’ i.e. a cut above a 5 star establishment.
There are Michelin starrer restaurants like Epicure and La Faubourg inside while the Swiss partner spa La Prairie offers exotic Russian massages and separate Hammam and steam rooms. Kid’s activity rooms, baby-sitting service, concierge service are some of the value added services. All the staff including the Burmese in-house cat are uniformly delightful.
The windows are all kept large and provide great courtyard/ street views while allowing in maximum amount of sunlight and the bathrooms are mostly kept classic white and are upholstered in luxury marble. Expect premium shower sets, double sinks and a set of luscious Hermes toiletries.
Proximity of the metro station is a definite advantage though most of historic Paris (8th arrondisment) can be explored through long walks from the hotel. The Champs Elysees, Les Invalides, Musee Orsay are all long/ short strolls away while the most affluent roofs of Paris can be viewed from the hotel room windows or the huge yacht shaped swimming pool.

Maison Souquet (5 Star)
The painstakingly renovated ‘house of pleasure’ near Moulin Rouge underwent a ‘no expense spared’ facelift by none other than the celebrated architect Jacques and a fantastically hedonistic hotel Maison Souquet was born. Here is a hotel that unabashedly flaunts the sensual side that Paris was once famous for….rooms are dedicated to famous “ladies of pleasure” and beds are strewn with rose petals while guest couples are offered intimate spa sessions.
No room looks the same…the décor seems straight out of a romantic French royalty novel and the Hermes toiletries kit inside will totally steal your heart. Everything inside right from the fragrant winter garden (breakfasts are served here) to the celestial themed spa to the bar that’s virtually encased in velvet and crystal….is a feast for the senses.
Expect private butler service, caviar and the finest wines and an opulent display of sensuous pictures on the wall that make the place suited more for couples than for families. The Montmartre area teems with wine bars, restaurants, cafes and bistros and there are attractions like the Sacre Coeur and French theatres and the Montmartre cemetery nearby. The Blanche, Pigalle and Place de Clichy metro stations are all nearby and exploring Paris is so easy and pleasurable when you stay at Maison Souquet.

Located in the 7th arrondisment of Paris, Spa Le Narcisse Blanc is a cocoon of peace and luxury that revels in its small size and intimacy.
The 37 rooms are all equipped with high speed internet, mini bar, flat screen TV with blue ray library, luxury robes and slippers, hair dryer and toiletry hampers with in-house perfume vials. Rooms are divided into classic, superior, deluxe and executive categories while the suites have seductive names like Cleo, Aurora, and Paris from the Rooftops etc in keeping with the personality of Cleo Mendes …the first ‘IT’ girl of the Belle Epox period; the décor is sensual yet understated and elegant.
The top notch in-house spa with hammam room and indoor pool with hydrotherapy facilities is just one of the special features of the hotel. Get to spend romantic nights in their partner vineyard establishments or watch the sunrise over Parisian roofs from their special suites. The concierge service, 24 hour valet parking, stocked mini bar and the undefinable air of elegance that pervades the place adds to the charm of Le Narcisse. Getting to learn about the life of Cleo is an added charm… the mysterious lady’s life story is artistically told all across the hotel through photographs, artefacts and hidden clues.

Four Seasons Hotel George V
The painstakingly designed art deco palatial hotel Four Seasons George V is a part of the prestigious four season’s brand. Sandwiched between Louis Vuitton and stores and a mere 5 minutes from the George V metro station, the hotel promises a luxurious Parisian experience in every sense. Whether it is the masterpiece floral arrangements created by Jeff Leatham or the Eiffel tower views from rooms or green tea infused Bulgari product hampers in each room; the hotel will charm you.

Hotel d’Aubusson (5 Star)
The jewel in the crown of d’Aubusson…this exotic 17th century town house converted hotel is its gorgeous lobby….one look at the massive beams and the huge stone fireplace will remind you of medieval tales. The 49 rooms and suites are exquisitely turned out in green, blue, burgundy themes and you can spot many fine tapestries (the hotel is named after a French town that spins them) and original antiques.
The cream coloured bathrooms are filled with Hermes toiletries and modern fittings. The in-house Café Laurent hosts jazz nights that are the darling of the whole town and there are periodic literary meets that are descendants of the time Jean Paul Sartre and Albert Camus hobnobbed here. The lovely patio overlooking the garden, the vintage lounge with comfy arm chairs and a cosy selection of games and the newly revamped spa with its hammams, indoor pool and treatment rooms are all just some of the special features of this hotel.
The location couldn’t get better…it’s the sophisticated and discreet Saint Germaine des pres neighbourhood that’s filled with antique shops, jewellery stores and the oldest cafes in Paris. With the Louvre, Notre dame, theatres and Pont Neuf within easy reach…you really can’t ask for more.

Hotel de Berri (5 Star)
The painstakingly designed de Berri hotel is a part of the Marriot luxury collection; let not its non-hotel like exteriors fool you into ignoring it!!! Inside, it’s a visual treat of tiger print furs, Italian tiles, designer furniture and a fashion sensibility that reflects Parisian haute couture. Not surprisingly, the hotel is former home of Elsa Schiaparelli (Coco Chanel’s arch rival).
Each of the different suites is modelled after a different celebrity like woody Allen, Marie-Laure de Noailles, Coco Chanel, Giacometti, Jean-Michel Frank, David Hicks etc. The pure Italian marble bathrooms with heated toilet racks, seats and floors and their shower pods with diffused aromatherapy oils will stun you. And the mirror concealed apple TV with Netflix and superb speakers is just the icing on the cake. There are even gourmet minibars, Millat juices, artisanal Fouquet chocolates, truffle infused crisps and a sensational Diptyque hamper inside the room.
The Le Bizzaz (in-house bar) provides a relaxing atmosphere with 5 breakfast options including a ‘romantic breakfast’ with champagne soaked caviar and smoked salmon. The in-house restaurant serves fine Tuscan cuisine and the finest Italian wines… if you wish for fine French food the 8th arrondisment is full of fancy restaurants. The hotel is in close proximity to George V metro station and famous sights like the Grand Palais and the Orsay museum. The fun of shopping at the iconic Champs Elysees stores adds to the charm.

La Maison Favart (4 Star)
Located in the 2nd arrondisment of Paris, La Maison is a short stroll away from the Comic Opera. This area is known for its theatrical and cinematic possibilities; opera lovers and shoppers and movie aficionados love it in equal measure. Unlike many other popular hotel zones of Paris, the 2nd arrondisment is more known for the pleasures of the intellect than of the senses.
The bistros here are likely to have budding writers, philosophers and tourists conversing with each other and many of the cafes here are buzzing with impromptu performances till the wee hours of the morning. Walk along and you will see the Grand Rex, Opera Garnier, Hard Rock Café, Max Linder, Galeries Lafayette, Stock Exchange and the antique auction rooms of Drouot all within easy distance from the hotel.
The lovely Au Printemps, Place Vendome and Musee Grevin are all within 15 minutes of walking distance of the hotel.

Hotel Luxembourg Parc (4 Star)
The Luxembourg Parc is located in the 6th arrondissement of Paris and is right opposite the street from Luxembourg Jardin… decorated in the Louis XV style with heavy velvet curtains, fireplaces, hardwood floors, decadently luxurious beds, framed vintage paintings, this 4 star boutique hotel is a treat to the eyes.
Manned by warm and welcoming staff the hotel rooms have USB Sockets, mini bars, welcome baskets, antique furniture and lots of extra goodies like bathrobes-slippers and French windows which open up to garden views. If there is a fault with the room fittings or some other issue the staff seems to want to go that extra mile to take care of stuff. There is a mini library, fitness room and patio too.
The hotel is right across the street from Left banks prettiest gardens Luxembourg jardin and guests staying here will have easy access to the sophisticated Saint Germaine district and the quirky Latin Quarter both of which are full of excellent bars, boutiques and restaurants.
Attractions like the Eiffel tower, Louvre museum and Notre Dame Are also not far away (walk-able if you like walking) and so location wise the Luxembourg Parc is a winner. The Luxembourg station, Odeon subway, Saint Sulpice bus stop/ subway are all nearby ( Parisian standards) and you will have direct connectivity to the airport and the major attractions. The hotel is in a sophisticated residential part of Paris and when you close the French windows its peaceful inside (again a rarity in Paris).

Let not the simple neo classical façade of Saint James Paris mislead you…once you step inside its fairyland meets French monarchy. Styled after a chateaux the Saint James is a treat for the elite discerning tourist who doesn’t mind experimental décor. With a quirky though priceless chandelier, ravishing tromphe carpets, regal staircases and stuffed zebra heads the décor borrows elements from every design period in the history of fashion.
Rooms, suites are equally characterful and no two of them are alike while each bears the magical touch of designer Bambi Sloan and a luscious hamper of Guerlain products. Expect handpicked bed spreads, magical lights and decadent baths inside. Rejuvenate your youth with mystical royal jelly treatments at their in-house spa and sip on cocktails infused with herbs picked from the in house garden while sitting at the iconic library bar.
The Michelin one star holding restaurant inside serves fresh seasonal cuisine and a sinful dessert platter. The location is non-touristy (16th arrondisment) and unobtrusive though conveyance options are plentiful with the madeleine metro and good connectivity to Gare du Nord. Hotel de Londres Eiffel (3 Star)
The charmingly decorated family run De Londres Eiffel lies in the 7th Androssiment and has a true blue Parisian heart. Tastefully selected artifacts, an abundance of flowers, French duvets and L Occtaine hampers greet you on your arrival. The Pringent family with their adorable golden retriever Samba and a small loyal team manages the place and often exceed expectations in terms of customer service.
Choose from the 30 Rooms (spread across 6 floors) that have king/ queen sized beds, built in closets, flat screen television, desk and chair while bathrooms have Italian showers and modern fittings. Free Wi Fi, wake up call, shuttle service, help desk and car parking are some of the other facilities. If you manage to get the Eiffel view rooms you can get an Instagram worthy view all day and night.
Breakfast comprising of hot croissants, cheeses, hams, pastries, coffee, juice, apple compote etc. is served in the dining room which has a mini garden. There is a mini library in the lounge area too and the staff give out free maps and help plan tours. The Ecole Militaire metro station, Le Bonne Marche departmental store and more than a dozen great restaurants are nearby. Proximity to the Eiffel tower, Musee D Oray, Napoleon Tomb, River Siene bank is a definite advantage.
